Fact or Fiction:
"Ransom War: How Cyber Crime Became a Threat to National Security" by Max Smeets is an essential look at the world of ransomware. I got an early preview of the research last year at a conference and was excited to finally read the book. Happy to say it did not disappoint and this is a great examination of the increasingly impactful cyber crime variant that provides insight into the current state of affairs, the threat actors involved, and the unique dynamics that drive this criminal ecosystem forward. Highly recommended. (Amazon Link)
